History
Beavercreek Settlement
Anton Zink made his first trip to America in 1860. With permission from his parents Xavier and Theresa, Anton Zink made the journey from Germany to live with his uncle, Alois Glaser in New Germany now Beavercreek, OH. See the Settlement of Anton Zink article for more history.
New Liberty Welfare Association, “The Hall”
We know the New Liberty Welfare Association as “The Hall”. This organization was started by the children of Anton Zink and other neighboring families. Over the years the building has been used for many different purposes; such as, a social hall, a rental hall for wedding receptions, a theater for Wright State University and as a church for various congregations. With all of these building uses, it has always been a gathering place for the Zink family on the first Tuesday of each month. See the Brigadoon Revisited article for more information on the history of the New Liberty Welfare Association.
